833 East is an office building in downtown Milwaukee. Located at 833 E. Michigan St., the project was developed by Irgens Partners.
The building is 18 stories tall. Construction costs for the building were estimated to total $101.51 million.
The building was completed in March 2016.
The building was designed by Kahler Slater with CG Schmidt serving as the general contractor.
The project held a groundbreaking on June 18, 2014, but construction was already underway with demolition having started on the existing building on the site. Prior to the project, the property was occupied by a one-story garage for US Bank.
Irgens originally pursued a TIF district from the City of Milwaukee, but the city refused.
Each floor has approximately 26,000 square feet of leasable space. It has a skywalk connection to the US Bank Center.
In August 2015 it was announced that Noble Chef Hospitality‘s Rare Steakhouse would open on the first floor of the building.
