100+ Elected Officials Across Wisconsin Endorse Judge Pedro Colón for Wisconsin Supreme Court

MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Judge Pedro Colón announced the endorsement of more than 100 current and former elected officials from across Wisconsin, including 65 judges who represent the state’s municipal, circuit, appellate, and Supreme courts.

“The breadth of this support, from Congress to county boards and courtrooms to city halls, reflects a shared belief that Wisconsin’s Supreme Court must be a court that every person can trust,” said Judge Pedro Colón. “I am deeply honored to have the support of leaders who reflect the best of what Wisconsin stands for.”

Since announcing the support of Justice-elect Chris Taylor, Congresswoman Gwen Moore, and Congressman Mark Pocan, Colón’s coalition has grown to include Former Governor Jim Doyle, 65 judges, and over 40 elected officials across the state legislature, county boards, mayors, and local officeholders.

Judge Pedro Colón is a graduate of Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin Law School. He was the first Latino ever elected to the Wisconsin Legislature, representing Milwaukee in the State Assembly from 1999 to 2010. He was appointed by Governor Jim Doyle to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in 2010, where he served for 13 years. In 2023, he was appointed to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals by Governor Tony Evers, becoming the first Latino to serve on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Colón and his wife Betty live on Milwaukee’s south side and have two daughters.
