Walker took a voluntary buyout from Journal Communications in 2014, but stayed on through a fellowship from the Marquette University Law School’s Sheldon B. Lubar Fund for Public Policy Research. During this time he provided active coverage of proposed new arena for the Milwaukee Bucks.
