The third phase of the Mandel Group‘s The North End, dubbed Aperture, is located at the northwest corner of N. Water St. and E. Pleasant St. The $53 million project includes a mix of retail, 168 apartments, and parking.

The retail space is occupied by a 29,500 Fresh Thyme Farmers Market grocery store, the first in Wisconsin.

The project received $10.5 million in New Market Tax Credits and $2 million from the Park East tax-incremental financing district.

Demolition of an existing building got underway on the site in the middle of July 2014, and construction was underway in September of 2014. The new building opened in the spring of 2016.
