59 Judges Across Wisconsin Endorse Judge Pedro Colón for Wisconsin Supreme Court

MILWAUKEE — Today, Judge Pedro Colón‘s campaign for Wisconsin Supreme Court announced the endorsement of 59 current and former judges, representing Wisconsin’s municipal, circuit, appellate, and Supreme courts.

Previously, Colón announced the endorsement of Justice-elect Chris Taylor. Joining her on Colón’s growing list of supporters are former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Louis Butler, Wisconsin Court of Appeals Chief Judge Joe Donald, and over 50 other judges from across the state.

“I am deeply honored to have the support of so many colleagues who have dedicated their lives to justice in this state,” said Judge Pedro Colón. “Every judge on this list knows what it means to sit across from someone whose life will be defined by what happens in that courtroom. That is the responsibility I carry into this race, and it is the responsibility I will carry to the Supreme Court.”

The endorsing judges are:

Judge Pedro Colón is a graduate of Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin Law School. He was the first Latino ever elected to the Wisconsin Legislature, representing Milwaukee in the State Assembly from 1999 to 2010. He was appointed by Governor Jim Doyle to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in 2010, where he served for 13 years. In 2023, he was appointed to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals by Governor Tony Evers, becoming the first Latino to serve on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Colón and his wife Betty live on Milwaukee’s south side and have two daughters.
