Traffic Safety Art Project
Meeting announcement from Alderman Tony Zielinski
On Thursday, May 1st from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of KK, Russell and Logan, there will be a theatre art project on pedestrian safety. The art project involves crossing the street. Before and after crossing, they will educate the public about pedestrian safety. The Islands of Milwaukee, which is a collaborative project between UWM, Sojourn Theatre, the Milwaukee County Department on Aging, Interfaith and Stowell Associates, is hosting this event. The Islands of Milwaukee’s charge is to provide meaningful engagement to older adults so as to alleviate social isolation through art.
