May 19, 2025 (MILWAUKEE) – The Board of Directors of the Dominican Center (DC) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Britney Roberson as its new Executive Director, effective immediately. Roberson brings a distinguished track record of leadership, collaboration, and community advocacy to this role, and her arrival marks an exciting new chapter for the organization and the Amani neighborhood.

Roberson has served as the Community Engagement Coordinator at Froedtert Health, where she led efforts to reduce health disparities and promote wellness in underserved communities throughout Milwaukee County. Her work emphasized building strategic partnerships, coordinating impactful community health initiatives and advocating for equitable access to care.

In addition to her role at Froedtert, Roberson has held positions with several Milwaukee-based organizations, including Near West Side Partners and Washington Park Partners. She also served Amani and the Dominican Center as the Community-Based Crime Reduction Coordinator. In these roles, she played a key role in neighborhood revitalization, facilitated community development projects and empowered residents to create lasting, community-driven solutions to local challenges.

A proud graduate of Mount Mary University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Roberson is a lifelong advocate for her community, with a deep and personal commitment to Milwaukee—especially the Amani neighborhood, where she was raised and where her family still lives. Her lived experience in Amani, Lindsay Heights and Sherman Park fuels her passion and purpose. Roberson’s unwavering dedication to service reflects her belief in the power of unity, perseverance and the bright potential that exists within every Milwaukee community.

“I’m honored and excited to return to Dominican Center and the Amani neighborhood,” said Roberson. “Through my past work in Amani I’ve been blessed to see how much Amani residents love their neighborhood and work for it to be better. This is a diverse neighborhood and I’m excited to get out and work to support everyone in Amani with their needs.”

As Executive Director, Roberson is committed to advancing the DC’s mission of working with Amani residents and partners to build a better future. She aims to strengthen community partnerships, expand educational and economic opportunities and promote social justice and equity.
