Labor Groups Back Katie Kegel for Milwaukee County Circuit Court
Milwaukee Area Labor Council, as well as AFSCME Council 32 and IBEW 494, endorse Katie Kegel for Judge
MILWAUKEE — The campaign for Katie Kegel for Judge in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Branch 3, announced today she has received the endorsement of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council, as well as American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Council 32 and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 494. Katie Kegel is also endorsed by United Auto Workers Southeast Wisconsin and the American Federation of Teachers Local 212.
“Katie Kegel understands the need for fairness in the workplace, excellence in public services, and prosperity and opportunity for all working families,” said Milwaukee Area Labor Council president Pam Fendt. “Her values, experience and commitment to fixing our justice system will make her a great judge.”
“Milwaukee County’s judges affect people’s lives every day and are charged with doing so fairly and taking into account the unique circumstances of each case. As a public defender and legal advocate, Katie knows that to restore faith in our justice system, we need to elect judges who treat every person with dignity and respect,” said IBEW Local 494 Business Manager Dean Warsh. “Katie shares the values of our membership and we are proud to endorse her in this race.”
