WEAC Press Release of recommended candidate in AD8
The Wisconsin Education Association Council recommends Sylvia Ortiz-Velez for State Assembly District 8.
In recommending Sylvia Ortiz-Velez, WEAC President Ron “Duff” Martin said, “Assembly District 8 needs a representative that listens to all of its constituents, and the needs that they have. She will advance education equity and support public schools across Wisconsin.”
WEAC members, teachers and education support professionals employed in Wisconsin Public Schools, believe in engaging in the political process because every aspect of public education is impacted by elected officials.
