Representative Andraca named MMAC ‘Champion of Commerce’
MILWAUKEE — The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) has named Representative Deb Andraca (D – Whitefish Bay) a “Champion of Commerce” for her support of the Milwaukee Region’s business community and its key priorities during the 2021-2022 Wisconsin legislative session.
The Champion of Commerce award is given to lawmakers who earn an 80% or greater ranking on MMAC’s biennial Legislative Scorecard. The Scorecard tallies significant votes in priority areas identified by MMAC’s public policy agenda. For the 2021-2022 Session, Representative Andraca achieved a 85% ranking on the MMAC scorecard.
“Every two years, in advance of the legislative session, we lay out our members companies’ public policy priorities to lawmakers, the press, and the public with our public policy agenda,” said Andrew Davis, MMAC’s Director of Governmental Affairs. “This award recognizes legislative leaders like Representative Andraca who took note of those priorities and worked hard to advance them in Madison.”
Founded in 1861, MMAC serves as the chamber of commerce for metro Milwaukee. Its mission is to improve Metro Milwaukee as a place to invest capital, grow business and create jobs.
