Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele Applauds Evers’ Call to Stop In-person Voting

By - Apr 3rd, 2020 02:43 pm

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele released the following statement regarding Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers‘ call for a special legislative session to stop in-person voting for Tuesday’s election:

“Governor Evers made the right decision by inviting lawmakers to work with him to stop in-person voting in the spring election. I firmly believe that prohibiting in-person voting during the coronavirus public health emergency is the right thing to do. I encourage my friends on both sides of the aisle to support the Governor’s call to take action and work together to find a solution the prioritizes public health. This is not about interrupting the democratic process – it’s about saving lives.”
