Judges rally behind Gwen Connolly in race for Circuit Court Judge

Milwaukee—More than a dozen current and former circuit court and municipal judges endorsed attorney Gwen Connolly today – highlighting the growing momentum for her campaign since she announced her candidacy in Branch 44 of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court seat last week.
“We need a strong justice system that works for the citizens of Milwaukee County, and I’m proud that so many of those who currently serve on the bench see me as the best choice for Branch 44,” said Connolly. “I have spent my entire career protecting Milwaukee County families and taxpayers, I understand the law, I have the record of success you need to be ready on day one, and I’m ready to serve.”

Gwen Connolly had practiced law for more than two decades in Wisconsin, and she is widely considered an expert in family law and consumer fraud. Connolly has worked to protect consumers against auto fraud, creditor harassment, and wrongful repossession, and has litigated hundreds of cases. She has consistently been named as a Super Lawyer of Wisconsin, serves as president of the Collaborative Foundation of Wisconsin and is the immediate past president of the Association of Women Lawyers Foundation. Connolly has given back to her community and works as a volunteer lawyer for Legal Action of Wisconsin and has volunteered for the Hunger Task Force and the St. Vincent de Paul meal program. Gwen Connolly received her Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School, where she graduated with honors, and her Bachelor’s degree from Carleton College. She is married to the Hon. Brent C. Bedwell, a federal Administrative Law Judge, and is the mother of three very active boys who attend public schools in Milwaukee.
