Kayland Hagwood to Co-Anchor WISN 12 News at 4:00 p.m. and WISN 12 News at 5:00 p.m. on Weekdays
The experienced journalist joins Milwaukee's number on newcasts

MILWAUKEE, WI (September 22, 2026) – WISN 12 has named Kayland Hagwood as the station’s new co-anchor of WISN 12 News at 4:00 p.m. and WISN 12 News at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Effective October 1, 2026, the Emmy-nominated journalist will begin her role as co-anchor, as well as deliver in-depth reporting throughout the week and provide live news coverage during WISN 12 News at 10:00 p.m.
“We can’t wait for Kayland to become part of our number one team,” says Shawn Oswald, president and general manager of WISN 12. “She’s an award-winning journalist who brings more than a decade of experience involving anchoring, reporting, investigations, and more.”
On WISN 12 News at 4:00 p.m., Hagwood will join co-anchor Derrick Rose and Milwaukee’s Chief Meteorologist Mark Baden. She will also work alongside co-anchor Blake Eason and Baden on WISN 12 News at 5:00 p.m.
“I’m excited to make Milwaukee home, from experiencing a little Midwest nice to finding great food and cheering on the Bucks,” shares Hagwood.
Before coming to WISN 12, Hagwood served as a weekend morning anchor at WCNC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to that, she was a weekend evening anchor and an investigative reporter for WLTX-TV in Columbia, South Carolina. Hagwood has also worked as a freelance reporter at The Lancaster News, a newspaper based out of Lancaster County, South Carolina. She graduated from The University Of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communications.
