WISN 12 to Host Live Wisconsin Gubernatorial Debate Ahead of Wisconsin’s General Election in November

The debate between David Crowley (D) and Tom Tiffany (R) will be held on October 21, 2026, at Marquette University Law School

MILWAUKEE, WI – WISN 12 is hosting the only confirmed debate between the candidates vying to become Wisconsin’s next governor on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The debate, featuring Democratic candidate David Crowley and Republican candidate Tom Tiffany, is part of the station’s ongoing ‘WISN 12 Commitment 2026’ coverage.

“The November 3rd election is right around the corner, making this debate especially timely so voters can make an informed decision on election day,” says Shawn Oswald, president and general manager of WISN 12. “We’re going to be covering critical issues that impact Wisconsin communities.”

The ’WISN 12 Commitment 2026 Wisconsin Gubernatorial Debate’ will be held at Lubar Center at Marquette University Law School’s Eckstein Hall. The debate is being moderated by WISN 12 News’ journalists Matt Smith and Gerron Jordan. The candidates will face tough questions covering a wide range of issues. These topics include the cost of living, taxes, immigration enforcement, data centers, and election security.

In addition to being broadcast on WISN 12 across Southeastern Wisconsin, the debate will stream on wisn.com and on ‘Very Local’ – WISN 12’s free streaming app. It will also be offered statewide on the WISN 12 UPFRONT partner stations in Green Bay (WBAY), Madison (WKOW), Wausau (WAOW), Eau Claire (WQOW) and La Crosse (WXOW), and will be done in collaboration with UPFRONT partner, WisPolitics.
