You’re Invited: Milwaukee Mayoral Candidate Virtual Forum

7-8:30 p.m., January 31, 2022, on Zoom

By - Jan 27th, 2022 04:33 pm

Milwaukee voters have the opportunity to elect a new mayor this spring. To help voters to make an informed choice, a coalition of community organizations is hosting a virtual forum with all seven candidates who are on the primary election ballot: Alderwoman Marina Dimitrijevic, former Alderman Bob Donovan, Ieshuh Griffin, Acting Mayor Cavalier Johnson, Sheriff Earnell Lucas, Michael Sampson, and State Senator Lena Taylor. The forum will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, January 31, in advance of the February 15 primary election.

The forum will be an opportunity for candidates to express their platforms and ideas for the role of mayor, and not a debate. Those who attend are invited to submit questions they would like to be considered for the forum.

Sponsoring organizations are Community Advocates Public Policy Institute, Disability Rights Wisconsin, MICAH, Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force, Rid Racism, Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition, and Milwaukee Turners. Emilio De Torre of Milwaukee Turners will moderate.

The mayoral forum will be held on Zoom from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday, January 31. Registration is required at this link: https://bit.ly/2022MKEMAYOR.

To request disability-related accommodations, including ASL interpreters, include your request on your registration. Please make your request as soon as possible; we will do our best to fill requests received after January 24. ASL interpreters and captioning will be provided.
