Tiffany Calls for 9/11 Education Requirement in Wisconsin Schools
WAUSAU, WI – On the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Tom Tiffany called for Wisconsin to require schools to teach students about 9/11, ensuring future generations understand the attacks, the Americans who lost their lives, and the heroism and unity that followed.
“Twenty-five years ago, America was forever changed when terrorists attacked our country,” said Tiffany. “We must never forget the 2,977 innocent lives taken, the first responders who ran toward danger, the passengers of Flight 93 who fought back, and the Americans who answered the call to serve our country in the years that followed.”
About one-third of Americans were not yet born when terrorists attacked our country on September 11, 2001. An Associated Press review found that numerous states require 9/11 to be taught in schools. Wisconsin, however, does not. As Wisconsin Public Radio reported this week, state law calls for a “special observance” of September 11, but does not require 9/11 instruction in schools.
“As the number of Americans with a personal memory of 9/11 grows smaller, our responsibility to teach its history grows greater,” Tiffany continued. “Future generations must understand what happened on September 11 so that America never forgets. Numerous states already require 9/11 to be included in their school curriculum, and Wisconsin should join them.

I agree, we should teach our children about the massive incompetence of that former President as he ignored specific intelligence warnings about an impending attack by Al Qaeda, allowed the guilty Saudis to fly home after the attack when all other flights were grounded, and then invaded a country that had nothing to do with the 9-11 attack and killing hundreds of thousands, perhaps a million Iraqis.
Also teach them how the opposition party let the war crimes stand and did not prosecute. Also teach how before 9-11 even happened that the corrupt Supreme Court gifted the Presidency to Bush thru their Bush v. Gore decision which stopped the Florida recount (even though Bush eventually lost the Florida recount when it finally concluded months afterwards) Teach it all because our corporate media sure won’t do it.
In addition to 9-11, should be January 6 when the government was under attack. The Capitol building of the United States was occupied by an invading force set on assassinating the Vice President. Then how the president pardoned those terrorists and Rep Tom Tiffany supported those pardons and the terrorists.
What Duane said – You want kids to learn about 9/11? Let’s teach them EVERYTHING about it, including BushCo ignoring “BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO ATTACK AMERICA”, and how the Patriot Act has been used for the last 25 years to spy on and restrict rights of others (and how Wisconsin’s Russ Feingold was the only Senator who saw through it and voted no). And how 9/11 was used as predicate to the horrible blunder of the idiocy and waste of lives of Iraq.
Also, it’s nice to know that Tom Tiffany cares about the important stuff, and not the $4 gas prices and rising health care premiums that are real problems in 2026.
