Golden Eagles going for seventh win in a row
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University women’s basketball hosts Milwaukee on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center.
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST MILWAUKEE
• Sunday is the 54th meeting all-time between Marquette and Milwaukee.
• Milwaukee is Marquette’s second-most commonly played opponent behind DePaul, who MU has played 86 times.
• Marquette leads the all-time series, 33-20, and is 14-7 in home games.
• The Golden Eagles are 26-1 in the last 27 meetings.
SIX WINS IN A ROW
• Marquette has won six in a row after dropping for the first two games of the season on the road.
• During the six-game winning streak, the Golden Eagles have an average winning margin of 25.5 points per game.
• Skylar Forbes (16.8), Lee Volker (13.0) and Halle Vice (11.8) are all averaging double-digit scoring in MU’s six wins this season.
• Last streak of six-wins-or-more came during the 2023-24 season when MU started 12-0 for the best start in program history.
DEFENSE LEADS THE WAY FOR MU
• Marquette is first in the BIG EAST and 14th in the nation in field goal percentage defense (33.8 percent) and have held opponents to under 45 percent from the floor in all eight games this season.

• In Marquette’s six wins this season, the Golden Eagles have outrebounded their opponents in each contest by an average of 15.0 rebounds per game.
• A Marquette player has pulled down six-or-more rebounds 15 times this season, led by Halle Vice who has done it six times.

• Marquette had a season-high 24 assists on 33 made baskets in Sunday’s win over Illinois State.
• The Golden Eagles have registered 14-or-more assists in each of their six wins this season and are averaging 19.5 assists per game during their six-game winning streak.
BEYOND THE ARC
• Marquette has made 31 combined 3-pointers the last four games, including a season-high 10 in the win over Indiana State on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
