WBB Falls to No. 7 UConn on Wednesday Afternoon

Golden Eagles host Butler Saturday at 3 p.m. CT

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women’s basketball team fell to No. 7 UConn on Wednesday, 77-45, at the Al McGuire Center.

The Golden Eagles (9-4, 1-1 BIG EAST) were led by Skylar Forbes, who finished with a game-high 20 points and five rebounds.

Forbes had Marquette’s first 8 points of the game and 10 of MU’s 16 first quarter points.

MU was down 22-16 after the first quarter before the Huskies used an 8-0 run to start the second to extend their lead to double-digits that would stay.

No. 7 UConn (12-2, 3-0 BIG EAST) was led by Sarah Strong, who had 15 points and seven rebounds.
