Volker Earns Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for Third-Straight Week

NEW YORK – Marquette University women’s basketball senior guard Lee Volker has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third-straight week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Volker recorded her first career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds at Bowling Green on Wednesday, Dec. 18. She followed that up with another double-digit scoring outing with 10 points and six rebounds against Stonehill on Saturday, Dec. 21.

The Purcellville, Virginia native shot 47.6 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from three.

Marquette has had a player on the conference weekly honor roll for five weeks in a row.

The Golden Eagles return to action when they open BIG EAST play at DePaul on Sunday, Dec. 29.
