MILWAUKEE, WI – Throughout the month of November, The Bartolotta Restaurants is hosting pairing dinners at various restaurant locations, featuring exclusive wine dinners and an All Duck dinner.
THE BARTOLOTTA RESTAURANTS
The Bartolotta Restaurants is a nationally recognized restaurant and catering organization co-founded by restaurateur Joe Bartolotta and his brother, two-time James Beard Award-winning Chef Paul Bartolotta.
Holiday Hours
The Bartolotta Restaurants will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 28.
ONGOING
Holiday Gift Cards
Guests can give the gift of The Bartolotta Restaurants for the holidays with a gift card for a date night, a dinner without dishes, a holiday bonus, or a night out on the town with friends. In addition, for every $100 purchased in gift cards, guests will receive a $20 holiday bonus to use in a participating restaurant. Guests can purchase gift cards in store or online on The Bartolotta Restaurants website.
Bartolotta Rewards
Guests can become a member of Bartolotta Rewards, where they can earn one point for every dollar spent on food and beverage at any of the participating, award-winning Bartolotta venues. That translates to 10% back on all food and beverage purchases when dining, hosting a private function or attending a special event at participating locations. As a Bartolotta Rewards member, guests are also eligible to receive various rewards throughout the year, and are notified about special promotions like the opportunity to buy advance tickets to Bartolotta events and select shows at the Pabst and Riverside Theaters throughout the year. Bacchus – A Bartolotta Restaurant is located within the Cudahy Tower in Downtown Milwaukee, and offers modern cooking in a new vibrant setting with a menu emphasizing seasonal ingredients and a wine list that is consistently praised as one of the most extensive in the city.
November 14 – Joseph Phelps Vineyards Napa Wine Dinner
Bacchus – A Bartolotta Restaurant is hosting the restaurant’s first wine dinner since its reopening, where it will highlight one of Napa Valley’s finest wineries – Joseph Phelps Vineyards. The five-course menu, created by Executive Chef Nick Wirth, features items like Smoked Nantucket Bay Scallops, Rohan Duck Breast, Venison loin, Wagyu Flat Iron Steak, and Spiced Apple Cake. Each course will be paired with wine from Joseph Phelps Vineyards selected by Wine Director and Sommelier Joseph Kane. Tickets can be purchased for $135 per person plus service charge and tax on Bacchus’s website.
BARTOLOTTA’S LAKE PARK BISTRO
Since 1995, Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro has served as Milwaukee’s premier dining and special event destination, offering pristine views of Lake Michigan in a historic park pavilion setting and a menu of traditional and modern French cuisine.
November 7 – All Duck Dinner
Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro is hosting a culinary event that celebrates duck, one of the classic tenets of French cuisine. Guests can enjoy a five-course dinner created by Chef de Cuisine John Raymond and his team with duck featured in each dish. The menu showcases a variety of dishes including Beignet Au Foie Gras, a French donut with foie gras custard, petite herb salad, crispy duck let and pickled shallot; Canard Confit Sur Brioche, duck confit with bleu de auvergne, brioche toast, and cherry preserves; and Saucisse de Canard, Toulouse duck sausage, tarbais beans with truffle and oven-dried cranberry. In addition, the dinner will be accompanied with four pairings of French wines selected by Sommelier Mariana Popescu. Tickets can be purchased for $98 per person plus service charge and tax on Lake Park Bistro’s website.
DOWNTOWN KITCHEN
A go-to gathering place for breakfast and lunch meetings, Downtown Kitchen features handcrafted small plate menus and a range of cuisines – artisanal sandwiches, greens and grains, sushi, and pizza, among others – in an open kitchen environment.
November 18 – Thanksgiving Dinner Packages
While Downtown Kitchen will be closed on Thursday, November 28 for Thanksgiving, Downtown Kitchen is offering dinner packages serving four, eight, or twelve guests with all the traditional favorites including gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and butter chips, one potato choice, and one vegetable choice. Dinners are available for four people for $67.94; eight people for $135.95; or 12 people for $199.95, and are available for pick-up on Tuesday, November 26 between 2 and 4 p.m., and Wednesday, November 27 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Orders can be placed on The Bartolotta Restaurants website no later than Monday, November 18.
THE ITALIAN COMMUNITY CENTER
Bartolotta Catering & Events serves as the exclusive caterer for The Italian Community Center, Milwaukee’s premier venue for the preservation and celebration of Italian-American heritage and culture.
November 19 – Lidia Bastianich at The Italian Community Center
Award-winning Lidia Matticchio Bastianich returns to Milwaukee for her brand-new cookbook, Felidia: Recipes from My Flagship Restaurant. The event, presented by Boswell Book Company, Bartolotta Catering and Events, and Milwaukee PBS, will be held at The Italian Community Center where Bastianich will speak with culinary historian Kyle Cherek, former host of Wisconsin Foodie. Tickets can be purchased through Boswell Book’s website for $45 and includes admission, a copy of Felidia: Recipes from My Flagship Restaurant, all taxes and fees, and light appetizers. A cash bar will also be available, and a portion of all ticket proceeds will be donated to Milwaukee PBS.
THE RUMPUS ROOM – A BARTOLOTTA GASTROPUB
Located in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee on bustling Water Street, close to the Theatre District and Riverwalk, The Rumpus Room – A Bartolotta Gastropub combines approachable food with a solid craft beer and cocktail program to create a laidback and appealing downtown destination.
Select Dates from October 22 – November 17 – Pre-Broadway Show Colonial Dinners
Guests can immerse themselves in the colonial era and dine like it’s 1776. Diners will be hosted in the private party space, The Room, which will be decorated in festive red, white, and blue with accompanying period fife and drum music. Each dinner will begin with a brief reading of key parts of the Declaration of Independence, and guests will walk away with complimentary party favors that enhance the colonial experience. Dinner will begin two hours prior to curtain time for daily and nightly presentations of Hamilton. The menu, created by Executive Chef Andrew Koser, includes dishes like Boston Lettuce Salad, Tavern Ale-Braised Short Ribs of Beef, and Colonial Apple Crumble Tart. Tickets are available at $55 per person plus service charge and tax and can be purchased on The Rumpus Room’s website.
