Lee Volker Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE – Marquette University senior guard Lee Volker earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday.

Volker stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, a career-high tying eight rebounds, career-high five assists, and three steals in an 83-67 win over Indiana State on Tuesday. She followed that up with 16 points, five assists and two steals on Sunday in MU’s 78-57 win over Illinois State.

The Purcellville, Virginia native shot 50 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from deep over the week.

This is the first weekly honor of Volker’s career and third-straight week MU has had a player on the conference’s weekly honor roll.

Marquette returns to action Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. CT when the squad hosts Milwaukee.
