Katie Kegel Announces Judicial Endorsements
MILWAUKEE—The campaign for Katie Kegel for Judge in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Branch 3, today announced a group of judges have endorsed her for election in the April election. These endorsements come as incumbent Clare Fiorenza announces her retirement rather than face Kegel.
“I’m honored to have the support of these forward-looking judges, and to join them on the bench next summer,” said Kegel, who currently serves as an assistant state public defender. “The system cannot continue as it has for the last few decades, and I’m ready to apply the law fairly, ensuring we keep people safe, while breaking the cycle of discrimination and incarceration that has poisoned our community.”
The following judges endorsed Kegel today:
Appeals Court Judge Joe Donald
Judge Pedro Colón
Judge Jack Dávila
Judge Brittany Grayson
Judge Reyna Morales
Judge Paul Rifelj (retired)
Judge David Swanson
Judge Milton Childs
Judge Mario White
