Honorary street signage to be installed in honor of Dr. James White

Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs invites residents to join her and WestCare Wisconsin in honoring the life and work of Dr. James G. White tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, at 10 a.m. at the WestCare Wisconsin Harambee Community Center, 335 W. Wright St.
The open house event will include a ribbon cutting and honorary street renaming ceremony to acknowledge and honor the legacy and service of the late Dr. James G. White, founder of WestCare Wisconsin. The event will also include (as a guest speaker) Alderwoman Coggs, and an unveiling of the new “Honorary Dr. James G. White St.” signage.
“He was committed to using and sharing his knowledge, gifts and talents to challenge the status quo and create positive change,” said Alderwoman Coggs. The Dr. James G. White honorary street signs have been installed at the northeast corner of N. 4th St. and W. Wright St. and the southwest corner of N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. and W. Wright St., located in the heart of the historic Harambee community.
