Clean Wisconsin Action Fund Endorses Charlie Fox for 5th District Supervisor
The Clean Wisconsin Action Fund officially announced their endorsement of Charlie Fox for Milwaukee County Board Supervisor District 5.
MILWAUKEE- The Clean Wisconsin Action Fund officially announced their endorsement of Charlie Fox for Milwaukee County Board Supervisor District 5 today for the Special Election on November 4. The 5th District seat was vacated by Russell Stamper II when he was elected to the Milwaukee Common Council in April.
Clean Wisconsin is the oldest and largest state group dedicated to protecting Wisconsin’s environment. Thousands of dedicated members across Wisconsin advocate for clean air, clean water and clean energy in a wide array of venues. The Clean Wisconsin Action Fund released this statement on the endorsement:
“The Clean Wisconsin Action Fund is pleased to endorse Charlie Fox in the special election for the 5th District County Board Supervisor. Charlie understands the importance of a clean environment for the 5th District and for all of Milwaukee County”
“Charlie will continue the positive direction Milwaukee County is taking to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment throughout our state’s largest urban area. His election will strengthen the emerging team of Supervisors who believe more should be done to raise awareness of the entire community that an urban area can increase its property values and the quality of life for all taxpayers by being smart about the benefits of a
cleaner healthier environment.”
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Clean Wisconsin Action Fund,” said Fox. “My father was a conservationist who worked for the Soil Conservation Service of the US Department of Agriculture. As a child, I went with him as he taught farmers responsible soil management. This has been a life-long commitment for me.”
“I am committed to protecting the environment throughout Milwaukee County, including its parks, rivers and lakefront. I live in the Cold Spring Park Neighborhood, and am proud of its collaboration with Clean Wisconsin and the Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewage District on development of the Cold Spring Park Garden as part of the 30th Street Corridor rain water retention project. I will work to enhance neighborhood assets like the Urban Ecology Center in Washington Park, and advocate Metropolitan cooperation in efforts to maintain clean air, water and energy.”
