Campaign to Retain Judge Andrew Jones Earns Broad Support From Judiciary

(Milwaukee, Wis.) – Since announcing his candidacy to retain his seat in Branch 40 of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court this past fall, Judge Andrew Jones has earned broad support from the judiciary. Judge Jones has been endorsed by thirty-six judges and the chief court commissioner of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. Twenty-seven of the judges supporting Judge Jones currently serve on the judiciary in Milwaukee County. Among the judges who have endorsed Judge Jones are three current members of the District 1 Court of Appeals and four former chief judges of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. This broad base of support among both active and retired members of the judiciary in Milwaukee County reflects a strong level of confidence and trust in Judge Jones’ intellect, work ethic, temperament, and fairness and his overall judicial abilities.

Marshall Murray, a Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge, said: “In his time on the bench, Judge Jones has proven himself to be a judge who approaches his work with careful preparation, a strong respect for the rule of law, and a commitment to ensuring that everyone who sets foot in his courtroom is treated equally and with respect. He has shown himself to be a person of humility and compassion, qualities that are essential for a judge. He has been an excellent addition to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, and I support him fully in his campaign to retain his seat on the bench.”

Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Michelle Havas stated: “I have known Judge Jones for almost twenty years. I know him to have the intelligence, integrity, temperament, and strong sense of fairness essential to the work of a judge. He brings with him a breadth of experience as a trial and appellate lawyer that will be a tremendous asset to the judiciary here in Milwaukee County.  He is the judge and leader that Milwaukee County needs in Branch 40.”

In response to the support of his colleagues, Judge Jones said: “It is an honor to have the support of so many members of the Milwaukee County judiciary.
