SHOREWOOD, Wis. – The Board of Directors of the Shorewood Business Improvement District today announced that Steph Salvia will lead the BID as its next Executive Director. Salvia most recently served as Executive Director of the Brady Street Business Improvement District. Salvia succeeds Ericka Lang, who held the role of Acting Executive Director since August of 2017.

The Board of Directors cited her 11-year experience at Brady Street Business Improvement District in her selection. In her role, she managed nearly 100 properties of a total valued of $62 million and operated a signature event, Brady Street Festival, which attracts 50,000 participants annually.

“It’s clear to us that we’ve identified the perfect leader for the Shorewood Business Improvement District,” said Arthur Ircink, President of the Shorewood BID Board of Directors. “Steph’s experience is unmatched, not only as the Executive Director of the Brady Street BID, but as a business owner, event producer and prominent leader in local nonprofit community.”

Salvia is the owner of Serendipitous Solutions, a local organization that produces multiple outdoor events annually, including: Brady Street Festival, the Tour of America’s Dairyland Bay View and Downer Classic Bike Races, FIFA World Cup block parties, Harley-Davidson Anniversary street parties and more.

The first event produced by the Shorewood BID under Salvia’s leadership is the Shorewood Shenanigans event on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, March 14, 2020. New for 2020, the party is expanding to two street festivals, one at the 4500 block of Oakland in front of 3 Lions and the other at the 4000 block of Oakland in front of Camp Bar and Brat House.

It should be noted that traffic between those blocks will stay open during the parties. Street festivities begin at noon, filled with music, food and vendors. Thanks to Milwaukee Brat House and Camp Bar, shuttles will provide service throughout the day, making stops at or near various locations including Draft and Vessel.
