By - Aug 5th, 2010 07:55 am

Ray Silkman will heat up the Main Stage at the Historic Third Ward Jazz Festival: Summer Sizzle, which runs 11am to 11pm, Saturday, August 7, in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. Featuring four stages of continuous jazz, the event will take place on North Broadway between E. St. Paul Avenue and E. Menomonee Street. Admission is free. Eighteen local, regional and Chicago jazz groups complete the musical lineup with a variety of styles: traditional, Latin, swing, smooth, Dixieland and more. Food highlights at the festival include fresh pizza cooked in a wood burning oven, chicken on a spit, roasted corn and other ethnic and American dishes. A “shoppers’ paradise” marketplace is filled with apparel, jewelry, art, imports, one-of-a-kind gifts and specialty items.
