UNCOM Youth & MPD Pals Head to the Pettit National Ice Center

By - Dec 3rd, 2024 01:38 pm

On Friday, December 6, 2024, United Neighborhood Center of Milwaukee (UNCOM) teens will have a skate party with MPD officers as part of the PALS (Police Athletic League) program.  They will meet at the Pettit National Ice Center (500 S 84th Street, Milwaukee) at 5:30 pm to share dinner. Following dinner, the teens alongside MPD officers, will sign holiday cards and make ornaments to be distributed at area nursing homes and then head to the skating rink for fun.  This outing would not be possible without the support of the City of Milwaukee – Office of Community Wellness and Safety and the Forest County Potawatomi Foundation.

“These nights align with our mission to improve the quality of lives for Milwaukee’s families. This is our second year providing this experience for Milwaukee teens.  We have come back to the Pettit because our youth had such a great time last year.  We bring our youth together from the different UNCOM centers across the city and we have found they like interacting with peers from different neighborhoods and conversing with police officers in a relaxed setting.” UNCOM Executive Director Renée Logee said.
