MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Supervisor Felesia A. Martin today thanked her colleagues on the County Board’s Finance Committee for their unanimous support in passing her amendment to fund long-awaited repairs at Cooper Park.

The amendment, approved unanimously by the Board as part of the County’s 2026 Budget, reallocates funds to address critical repair needs and ensure the safety and usability of park infrastructure for the surrounding community.

“I want to thank my colleagues for their support in the passage of this long-awaited amendment,” said Supervisor Martin. “Cooper Park is a beloved neighborhood gathering place, and these repairs will make sure it remains a safe, welcoming space for families, children, and all residents to enjoy for years to come. The project also ensures ADA-accessible parking and pathways that provide access to the polling place located in the park building, improving accessibility for every voter in the community.”
