MILWAUKEE—Judge Joe Donald, candidate for Supreme Court, issued the following statement today:

“Justice N. Patrick Crooks has been a stalwart of the Wisconsin judiciary for almost four decades. He represents the best of what our state has to offer. I congratulate him on his career and thank him for his service to Wisconsin.”

“Justice Crooks’ jurisprudence cannot be labeled as conservative or liberal. He wasn’t part of a faction on the court, but decided each case based on his reading of the law, his understanding of the Constitution, and the facts of the case in front of him. He is an independent judge, and that legacy is what I hope to carry on.”
