Statement: Legislative Leaders React to Favorable Decision by U.S. Supreme Court

[Madison, WI]  Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) released the following statement after the favorable decision from the United States Supreme Court:

“This prudent action by the United States Supreme Court addresses our concerns over ballot security in tomorrow’s election. We look forward to the voting tomorrow being secure – and look forward to seeing the results come in with the rest of Wisconsin by April 13th.”

    Gentlemen, Vos, and Sulivan, please explain to me the use of the word prudent in this matter. Is it prudent to ask a citizen to risk their lives to vote? Is it prudent to, on the one hand, ask people to forgo their livelihood and stay home from work, to abstain from meeting with groups of people for any reason, and then exempt them from social and health responsibilities to vote?
    The one thing that this accomplishes is putting everybody that votes in person and anyone they contact subsequently in danger of contracting and spreading this disease.
    The other thing is that it is sure to suppress the vote count, but then that might be the prudence you were referring to
