Senator Craig Statement on Representative Sensenbrenner

Madison, WI — Today, State Senator David Craig (R-Town of Vernon) released the following statement regarding Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner’s announcement that he will retire from the House of Representatives at the end of this term:

“Congressman Sensenbrenner has served the 5th Congressional District with honor and integrity for the past four decades. He is a steadfast leader in the conservative movement, and has given selfless service to Wisconsin and our nation, while defending the Constitution and its guiding principles.”

“Jim is a mentor and friend to many staff who have gone on to serve their communities in their own rite. Amy and I wish him, his wife Cheryl, and their entire family all the best with gratitude for all they have done for Wisconsin, the nation, and the conservative movement – it is a legacy of accomplishment that will have a lasting impact on our state and nation.”

Senator Craig represents the 28th Senate District which includes parts of Waukesha, Milwaukee, Racine, and Walworth counties.
