Near West Side Partners representatives go “On the Issues”
Hear from the leaders of the anchor institutions that are spearheading the NWSP effort on their vision to transform the area and the progress they’ve made in the first year of the initiative.
MILWAUKEE – Near West Side Partners representatives Michael R. Lovell of Marquette University, Tom Devine of the Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, Kelly Grebe of MillerCoors, Mike Lappin of Aurora Health Care and Matt Levatich of Harley-Davidson will be the featured guests in an upcoming “On the Issues with Mike Gousha,” Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m. in Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan St.
Near West Side Partners is a recently formed non-profit with a mission to revitalize the Near West Side of Milwaukee—an area with important assets including iconic brands, some of Milwaukee’s largest major employers and historic neighborhoods. It also is an area with distinct challenges, including real and perceived safety issues, high unemployment and a lack of quality housing options.

Lovell, Marquette’s president, will be joined by Levatich, President and CEO of Harley-Davidson; Grebe, Chief Legal and Corporate Services Officer at MillerCoors; Devine, CEO of Potawatomi Business Development Corporation; and Lappin, Chief Administrative Officer at Aurora Health Care.

His “On the Issues” series of conversations with newsmakers supports Marquette Law School’s commitment to serve as a modern-day public square for the city of Milwaukee, the state of Wisconsin and beyond.
