Mora Anderson Joins Penfield Montessori Academy
MILWAUKEE (August 19, 2020) — Penfield Montessori Academy has hired Mora Anderson, Ph.D., as the new Head of School. Dr. Anderson brings 25 years of teaching and educational leadership experience to Penfield Montessori, and an excellent reputation for helping students of all abilities maximize their potential.

Prior to Penfield Montessori, Dr. Anderson served at Capitol West Academy as the coordinator of student and family services and, most recently, the school’s executive director. At Capitol West, Dr. Anderson focused on fostering positive school culture, serving as a liaison to parents and key stakeholders, evaluating staff according to the State Educator Effectiveness Model and managing the school’s budget.
Dr. Anderson started her career in English and communications in the Adult High School and GED Department at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and then transitioned to Marquette
University’s EOP Pre-College Program. She also held assistant principal and teaching positions at Milwaukee High School of the Arts, Washington High School, John Marshall High School, LaFollette School, and Nicolet High School.
