Momentum building for Adams Campaign
Strong early fundraising and enthusiasm for campaign
MILWAUKEE – The Adams for Assembly campaign brought in an impressive $14,231.00 in early fundraising contributions. The campaign filed its first campaign finance report with the Wisconsin State Government Accountability Board this week, days in advance of the deadline.
Former prosecutor Dan Adams is running to represent the 19th Assembly District, which covers Milwaukee’s East Side, and Bay View along with part of downtown and the Third Ward.
“As I’ve been knocking on doors in the bitter cold, I’ve been warmed by the reception I’ve been receiving and humbled by the early support of my candidacy,” said Adams. “Our message of solution-oriented public service over partisan finger pointing is resonating with voters”
The total amount the campaign raised comes after only three weeks of fundraising, with contributions coming in from a wide variety of donors from diverse backgrounds – including entrepreneurs, engineers, and teachers. No lobbyists, Political Action Committees (PACs), or campaign committees contributed to the campaign during this period.
Last week, more than 125 supporters packed the Belmont Tavern in downtown Milwaukee for the Adams Campaign kick-off event. This event’s receipts are not included in the first finance report filing.
