Milwaukee Bucks to Celebrate Hoops for the Troops, Presented by We Energies, on Sunday, Nov. 9 vs. Houston Rockets
MILWAUKEE (Nov. 7, 2025) – The Milwaukee Bucks will celebrate Hoops For Troops, presented by We Energies, on Sunday, Nov. 9, when they host the Houston Rockets at 2:30 p.m. at Fiserv Forum.
Sunday’s celebrations will tip off pregame with an Army Oath of Enlistment, presided over by Milwaukee-native and United States Army Lieutenant General Johnny Davis. The national anthem will be performed by U.S. Air Force veteran Bob Kozlowski, while members of VFW Wisconsin and U.S. Army recruiters from the Milwaukee Recruiting Battalion help unfurl a flag. The official game ball will be delivered by members of the U.S. Army’s Fox Valley ROTC Battalion, who will descend a more than 100-foot rappel rope to complete the presentation. Sunday’s halftime entertainment will feature world-renowned performance painter David Garibaldi creating a patriotic art piece. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to meet dogs in training with Patriot K9s of Wisconsin, an organization that works to provide qualified veterans with service dogs and training at no cost, at Section 107.
More than 30 service members will enjoy Sunday’s game from courtside seats, courtesy of Bucks season ticket members, ownership and partners, and they will be honored throughout the game with video features and other in-game elements.
Prior to the Hoops For Troops game, the Bucks hosted Wisconsin-based service members at practice on Thursday, Nov. 6. They met with the team and coaching staff after practice before enjoying lunch at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Science Center.
The Bucks also teamed up with the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Stars and Stripes Honor Flight for the sixth annual “Flight of Champions” to Washington D.C. on Saturday, Nov. 1. More than 160 Korean and Vietnam War veterans participated in the flight, which included visits to Arlington Cemetery and the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial. The Bucks will host more than 100 Stars & Stripes Honor Flight participants, volunteers and family members at Sunday’s game, and fans in attendance will hear from an Honor Flight participant and his guardian about the experience.
