MILWAUKEE (Jan. 18, 2025) – The Milwaukee Bucks will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. tomorrow, Jan. 19, when they host the Philadelphia 76ers at 6 p.m. at Fiserv Forum. The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration is presented by We Energies.

Throughout the game, the Bucks will showcase stories centered on the sentiment, “What are you doing for others?” from the speech that Dr. King delivered at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, on Aug. 11, 1957. Fans attending tomorrow’s game can share their commitment to service, as inspired by Dr. King, on an interactive board near Section 201.

Local nonprofits will also be set up outside Section 201 to give fans the chance to learn about volunteering opportunities in Milwaukee. The organizations scheduled to attend are Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, The Community, MENTOR Greater Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Library and the Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation.

Prior to the game, the Bucks will wear special warmups in honor of Dr. King and local youth choir Cream City Chorale will perform the national anthem, followed by “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Dahlia Santiago, a student at Golda Meir Upper Campus and the grades 9-10 winner of the 41st annual We Energies Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest, will perform her speech at halftime.

This year’s We Energies Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest asked students to reflect on the theme, “What are you doing for others?” The top three finishers from each grade will be recognized during the game, while information and quotes from their speeches will be highlighted throughout the concourses.

Limited tickets are still available for tomorrow’s game at www.bucks.com/single. More information about the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration and other 414 All theme nights is available at www.bucks.com/impact.
