MSA Welcomes John Peterson as Senior Airports Engineering Project Manager

ST. PAUL, Minn. (October 7, 2026) – MSA Professional Services, Inc. (MSA) announced today the hiring of John Peterson, PE, as a new Senior Engineering Project Manager within the firm’s Mobility service line – Airports division.
John joins MSA with over 26 years of experience in the planning, design, and management of commercial and general aviation airports across Minnesota and Wisconsin. His expertise includes navigating FAA, MnDOT, and WisDOT regulatory procedures, securing project funding, airport master planning, aviation industry business development, and project management.
Prior to joining MSA, John served 26 years as the Group Manager and Senior Registered Engineer of airport engineering at TKDA in Bloomington, Minnesota, where he led the planning, design, and construction of projects and regional and municipal airports — collaborating with clients to navigate funding programs, ensure project compliance, and bring projects to fruition. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed Professional Engineer in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
