MCSO Arrest Uber Passenger
Upon approaching the vehicle, which was later identified as an Uber vehicle, the driver stated he was assaulted by his passenger who just ran from the vehicle.
Milwaukee, WI (September 29, 2019) On Sunday, September 29, at approximately 1:16 a.m. a deputy stopped westbound on I-94, just west of 35th St., to check on a vehicle he believed was disabled. Upon approaching the vehicle, which was later identified as an Uber vehicle, the driver stated he was assaulted by his passenger who just ran from the vehicle.
Additionally, the driver reported that the passenger, later identified as Christian James Collard, was seated in the front passenger seat and became upset when he did not agree with the route being used. A verbal exchange ensued and escalated to a physical one. Mr. Collard punched the driver in the face and grabbed and jerked the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to travel across other lanes of traffic.
Mr. Collard was located and taken into custody for Recklessly Endangering Safety, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.
