Impact100 Greater Milwaukee Announces Nonprofit Finalists for $405,000 in IN GRANTS
Four $100,000 Grants Will be Awarded on June 8
MILWAUKEE – Impact100 Greater Milwaukee, a women’s nonprofit based on a collective philanthropy model replicated nationwide, has announced that five nonprofit organizations have been selected as 2022 finalists for $100,000 grants.
The five 2022 finalists are Advocates of Ozaukee, Benedict Center, Hope Street, Radio Milwaukee, and Victory Garden Initiative.
Formed in 2015, Impact100 Greater Milwaukee is an organization of women leveraging their collective gifts to award $100,000 grants to nonprofit organizations to strengthen the Greater Milwaukee community. Each member contributes $1,000 annually to the grant pool, which is then awarded to nonprofit recipients through a rigorous grant selection process. Eligible nonprofit organizations from Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha Counties are invited to apply. Impact100 targets its support to mid-size nonprofit organizations (revenue between $300,000 – $5 million) for which six-figure gifts might otherwise not be attainable.
For the 2022 grant cycle, Impact100 Greater Milwaukee received more than 45 applications from local nonprofits. Five finalists were selected after a thorough review process which involved almost 90 volunteer grant evaluators and included 13 site visits.
Following the June 8 Annual Awards Celebration, Impact100 will have exceeded $2.4 million in cumulative giving to nonprofits since its first grant awards in 2016. Previous grantees include Operation Dream, NAMI Southeast Wisconsin, Literacy Services of Wisconsin, and Teens Grow Greens (see complete list at https://www.impact100mke.org/grantees).
Impact100 Greater Milwaukee, a registered 501(c)(3) organization, operates as an all-volunteer organization. Visit http://impact100mke.org for more information.
