Harambee Community Market finale at Rose Park is Saturday
The Harambee Community Market will make its final appearance of the season at Rose Park tomorrow.
The Harambee Community Market will make its final appearance of the season at Rose Park, 3045 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr., tomorrow (Saturday, September 10), according to Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs.
The final market at Rose Park will feature locally made and grown foods and crafts, health care information, a basketball three point contest, and performances by Capoera Angola Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Flyers.
“The Harambee Community Market offers fresh foods and crafts, with a slice of entertainment as well,” Alderwoman Coggs said. “I encourage neighbors to stop at the market tomorrow and see what it is all about.”
The market will open at noon Saturday, and the schedule of activities will be: 1 p.m. – Capoera Angola Milwaukee Performs; 1:30 p.m. – three point contest; 3 p.m. – Milwaukee Flyers Perform; and at 4 p.m. the market closes.
Next Saturday (September 17) the market will move to the Beerline Trail to be a part of Riverworks Week’s “Milwaukee’s Creative District Alive” Festival. The festival will runs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and starts at the trail entrance at Keefe & Richards and runs northerly to the end of the trail at Capitol Drive.
