Garden District welcomes new restaurant at Mitchell International

By - Dec 23rd, 2020 08:51 am

The Garden District has a new dining spot with a very familiar name inside Mitchell International Airport, enticing travelers and those looking to try new culinary options, Alderman Scott Spiker said today.

The Garden District Kitchen and Bar is now open for business and located inside Concourse D.

“It’s great to have a restaurant that pays homage to the Garden District neighborhood and all of the truly great qualities the area is blessed with,” Alderman Spiker said. “I predict it will become a popular spot partly based on the great name alone.’”

The restaurant will be utilizing COVID-19 safety precautions including plastic barriers, seat coverings and touchless ordering.

The restaurant is operated by HMS Host, Newburns Management Group and Apex Business Solutions and Development and is part of the airport’s food, beverage and retail offerings refresh program.

The Garden District Kitchen and Bar is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mitchell officials have noted facility and concourse hours are subject to change because of the pandemic.
