8th Annual Frida Fest Returns This Weekend
Alderman Scott Spiker invites residents to participate in this weekend’s 8th Annual Frida Fest, an annual celebration of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The Festival will take place Saturday, July 18 from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Farmhouse Paint Bar and Banquet Hall located at 4511 S. 6th St.
The two-day celebration will include a variety of family-friendly activities such as painting classes, live music, food trucks, local vendors, educational pieces, and the much anticipated Frida Kahlo look-alike contest featuring both adult and youth categories.
“Frida Fest has become a tradition unlike any other, and is a fantastic offering for the entire family,” said Alderman Spiker. “I hope residents citywide take full advantage of this opportunity to connect with neighbors, experience a wide array of art and culture, and have fun and just enjoy a lovely summer weekend in Milwaukee.”
