Free Fitness and Wellness Day at Noyes Indoor Pool
MILWAUKEE, WI – The Milwaukee Parks Foundation, in partnership with Milwaukee County Parks and Aquatics Ambassadors MKE, invites the community to dive into health and wellness with a free “Splash into the New Year Pool Day” on Saturday, January 18, 2025. From 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, attendees can explore a variety of fitness and wellness activities at Noyes Indoor Pool, located at 8235 N Good Hope Rd in Milwaukee.
This event comes at a critical time, as drowning remains the second leading cause of unintentional injury death for children under 14. According to USA Swimming, nearly 80% of children in households earning less than $50,000 have little-to-no swimming ability, emphasizing the importance of accessible and affordable aquatics programs.
“Through initiatives like this, we’re making strides toward increasing swim culture, water safety, and community wellness,” said Rebecca Stoner, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Parks Foundation.
The Noyes Indoor Pool, which has recently been underutilized, will take center stage for this event, highlighting its potential as a vital community resource. By combining forces, Milwaukee County Parks, Milwaukee Parks Foundation, and Aquatics Ambassadors MKE aims to inspire a love for water and foster a renewed focus on wellness.
