Spend a Summer Sunday at Boerner Botanical Garden With Your Four-Legged Friend
MILWAUKEE, WI – Looking for a fun way to enjoy a summer Sunday with your four-legged companion? Boerner Botanical Gardens invites the community to Dog Day at the Garden on Sunday, August 2.
This unique event transforms the gardens into a dog-friendly destination where visitors can spend the day exploring beautiful landscapes alongside their leashed pets. Throughout the afternoon, guests can shop with local pet-friendly vendors, connect with area rescue organizations, enjoy professional pet photography by The Dog Edit, partake in on-site nail trimming and let their dogs test their speed on the popular ALT Dog Run Lure Course.
New for Dog Day, event sponsor Spirits of Norway Vineyard & Winery will enhance the experience with live jazz performed by the GIL Jazz Combo from 2:00–5:00 p.m. Visitors are invited to relax on the Visitor Center patio, enjoy a glass of wine, and unwind to live music after exploring the gardens.
Food trucks and concessions will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., making it easy to spend the day enjoying everything the event has to offer. The gardens will remain pet-friendly from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., with vendors and activities taking place from 12:00–5:00 p.m.
Admission is $6, and dogs receive free admission with a paid admission or Boerner Botanical Gardens membership.
Whether you’re attending with your own dog or simply looking for a relaxing afternoon filled with beautiful gardens, local vendors, live music, and community fun, Dog Day at the Garden offers a memorable summer experience for all!
