Downtown Milwaukee hosts 2nd annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee on Oct. 28
Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 casts a spell on Red Arrow Park for a family-friendly Halloween event
MILWAUKEE (September 20, 2023) – Experience the senses of fall at the second annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee presented by WaterStone Bank on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Red Arrow Park, featuring the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the season. Produced by Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, this family-friendly Halloween-themed event features giveaways, activities, and fun for all ages, especially children ages 2 – 10.
Families can listen to live musical performances from Frogwater at 11 a.m., Mariachi Monarcas de Milwaukee at 11:45 a.m., and the Extra Crispy Brass Band at 12:30 p.m. Other activities rounding out this pumpkin palooza include story time with Wanda the Wise Sandwich, a Halloween-themed character from The Pocket Lady, at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; story raps with Wes Tank at 12:45 p.m.; and professional pumpkin carving demonstrations.
Throughout the event, kids can participate in free face painting, pumpkin painting with Artists Working in Education, bubble play time, character meet-and-greets with beloved movie characters, and a walk-through of the Milwaukee Fire Department’s Survive Alive House.
Sweet treat vendors include Cottonmouth MKE, Doughnuttery Mayfair, Pop’s MarketPlace, and Weston’s Antique Apples. Food trucks will also be on-site for lunch options, plus a book sale from Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library.
