Amateur Hour: A Fundraiser For BestD

MILWAUKEE, Wis. January 16, 2025.  Join us for an evening of specialty cocktails as we raise funds for BestD Clinic, who provide high quality sexual health services in an affirming environment at no cost.

After a crash course in basic bartending, Tom and Paul, volunteers at BestD, will be the Amateur Bartenders for the evening. Armed with flippant attitudes, and witty senses of humor, be prepared for a night of laughter, good friends, and ambrosial cocktails.  The one night only cocktails will feature two alcoholic cocktails, a Boulevardier riff, “Anonymous”; a Punch, “Dickel Tickle”; and one Non-Alcoholic cocktail, “xyz123”, featuring ISH, an N/A spiced caribbean “spirit”.

5-9P  Amateur Bartenders Tom and Paul will serve special cocktails whose proceeds will be donated to BESTD Clinic.  Also, all bartenders will donate their tips to BestD. Members from BestD will be present to answer questions and provide information and resources.

BESTD Clinic
Located at 1240 East Brady Street, BestD Clinic offers HIV counseling and testing, and PrEP discussion and referrals FREE OF COST to men (transgender and cisgender) transgender women, and other trans/non-binary individuals.  Their services include Syphilis testing (blood draw), Gonorrhea and Chlamydia testing through urine samples, throat swabs and rectal swabs (as appropriate), Herpes virus testing for active lesions (as needed), Genital Wart (treatment for active symptoms) and Trichomonas (treatment as appropriate).

They have been providing sexual health services for 50 years!

Sugar Maple Background
The Sugar Maple opened on April 1, 2008 with the mission to provide craft beer brewed solely in North America.  Since 2015, its mission has evolved to showcase small craft breweries, as local as possible, and to give new, up-and-coming breweries and distilleries exposure to the public.
