Alderwoman Chantia Lewis invites residents from throughout the city to attend her inaugural State of the District Address
Alderwoman Chantia Lewis invites residents from throughout the city to attend her inaugural State of the District Address and community meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5 at Vincent High School, 7501 N. Granville Rd.
“Everyone who lives in Milwaukee has some sort of fond memory they made in the Northridge area or other parts of the 9th Aldermanic District,” Alderwoman Lewis said. “I invite everyone to bring their family to hear about my vision for development on Milwaukee’s far north side, including our most recent accomplishments in the district, what’s happening now and the exciting plans we have for the future.”
Mayor Tom Barrett, Department of City Development Commissioner Rocky Marcoux and UWM Director of Community Design Solutions Carolyn Esswein will also offer remarks. Organizers will then reveal the action plan for high-priority underused sites along W. Brown Deer Road and N. 76th Street, which is the result of a recent community design charrette at UWM. Refreshments will be provided.
