DOR Complaint Against Magadance Skinner Updated After Admission Under Oath
MADISON, WI – After moving to Georgia, establishing residency, voting in Georgia, and intending to remain there, Michele Magadance Skinner took advantage of tax breaks meant only for Wisconsin residents in 2021. Magadance Skinner admitted this while under oath in a Dane County Circuit Court hearing last week. In response to this admission of fraud, the SSDC is updating the complaint previously filed with the Department of Revenue.
SSDC Executive Director Andrew Whitley on the updated DOR complaint:
“Last week, Michele Magadance Skinner admitted under oath to defrauding Wisconsin taxpayers – taking tax breaks meant for Wisconsin residents while admitting she was a Georgia resident. While her name will appear on the November ballot, we’re confident voters in the 31st district will reject her blatant record of cheating the system. The Department of Revenue will review this updated claim and ensure Magadance Skinner is held accountable for her actions.”
