Summer Fun Returns to Deer District With Music, Movies and Community Events, Presented by Deer District BID 53

MILWAUKEE (June 5, 2026) – Deer District BID 53 will bring entertainment to downtown Milwaukee this summer with events including Rhythm in the District, Cream City Cornhole, MKE Film Series, Fitness on the Plaza, Deer District Farmer’s Market and MKE Books & Beers. From live music and outdoor movies to weekly competitions, fitness classes and fan-focused events, the summer lineup will bring a wide variety of experiences to Deer District throughout the season for guests of all ages.

Rhythm in the District presented by Deer District BID 53 features free, open-level dance classes led by local artists from Danceworks MKE from June 6 through Sept. 19 in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Taking place on Saturdays from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. throughout the summer, guests of all experience levels are invited to learn new moves, enjoy live instruction and take part in an interactive dance experience.

The Cream City Cornhole Series presented by Deer District BID 53 and The Brew State Baggers will take place Thursdays from June 11 through Sept. 3, featuring a 10-game weekly series with prize money up for grabs. A $10 entry fee guarantees six games, with warm-ups and on-site registration beginning at 5:45 p.m. and bags flying at 6:30 p.m. Participants can sign up in advance at https://share.scoreholio.com/c1IiRlZJF3b.

MKE Film Series presented by Deer District BID 53 and Milwaukee Film returns to The Deer Garden presented by Michelob ULTRA this summer with three free outdoor movie nights. Taking place Thursdays from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. beginning July 30, the series will feature Dazed and Confused on July 30, Wedding Crashers on Aug. 6 and Superbad on Aug. 13.

Previously announced summer events include Fitness On The Plaza on Thursdays from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. through Sept. 24, the Deer District Farmer’s Market on Sundays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. through Oct. 25 and MKE Books & Beers on June 30 and Aug. 25 from 4:30 p.m.-9 p.m.

Food and beverage options and specials will be available at various Deer District establishments.
